New Connections

A completed ‘Application for Service' form is required for all new connections and for alterations to existing connections which may affect the operation of the network. The form is not an application for the supply of electricity. New connections will only be livened once your energy retailer has processed and approved your application.

The ‘Application for Service form may be obtained from any network approved contractor (see list below). If any details required for the processing of the application are not provided or are incomplete or illegible, the application will not be processed and will be returned.

From 01 April 2010, capacity provision has been set at $420.00 (Excluding GST) and ripple (water-heating) relays at $140.00 (Excluding GST). These values are subject to change from time to time.

Applicants should allow five working days (from the receipt of the completed form by the Network) for the processing of applications.
